Sue Henderson has 25 years experience in the wine & beverage industries, working in Australia and also extensively in the successful wine export markets of UK & Europe, USA & Canada, China & Japan. Sue is highly skilled in both sales and marketing.
Sue’s career started as a graduate of production & marketing from Roseworthy Agricultural College, South Australia in 1983.
Her sales career began in Adelaide working for Remy & Associates and David Wynn Pty Ltd as a sales representative across on & off premise markets and wholesale markets. This experience was later enhanced in her roles as State Sales Manager for Carlton Special Beverages in Sydney leading a team of thirteen salespeople & thereafter as Global Sales Director for Grant Burge Wines. Sue has 18 years experience in management of Australian and overseas national account customers.
Sue’s marketing experience started as a brand manager with David Wynn. Soon an offer came to consult in the production of ready to drink spirits in Melbourne for Elders IXL. A role followed as the senior brand manager at Carlton United Breweries developing their stable of specialty beers including Millers, Corona Extra & Stella Artois. After gaining considerable FMCG and international marketing experience, Sue returned to wine marketing with Grant Burge Wines in 1994 in the Australian market. Sue worked to develop a strong domestic sales base and national account presence for the brand. From 1999 she undertook global responsibility for the brands opening markets in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Canada, Korea & Japan
Sue has negotiated many significant supply & distribution contracts for both wine & beer locally and on the global stage. She is skilled in development of the products that have a correct fit specific to market. She has spent much of her career developing and implementing marketing and business plans. Sue has consulted to wine companies since 2006 and has participated in Board positions for Grant Burge & Prince Hill Wines. Sue has a great passion for fine wine only tempered with a personal ambition for success in what ever project she undertakes.
